MINI SKILLS CAMP
Date: June 16-18, 2008
Ages: 8-18
Fee: $200.00
Time: 9am-11am Open to all skill levels.
We will break the players up by age and skill levels. Bring your own glove, mitt, cleats. We will review the basic fundamentals of the game of softball. From pitching, fielding, and catching to sliding, outfield play and hitting. Coach to player ratio is 1:10. All participants will receive a Stanford t-shirt.

OFFENSIVE SKILLS CAMP
Dates: June 16-18, 2008 & July 14-16, 2008
Ages: 8-18
Fee: $200.00
Time: 12:30pm-2:30pm Open to all skill levels.
The offensive skills clinic will cover hitting, bunting, sliding, base running and much more.
Coach to player ratio is 1 to 10.

ADVANCED SKILLS CAMP
Date: June 23-26,2008
Ages: 12-18
Fee: $400.00
Time: 9am-4pm
All campers MUST have at least 2 years of competitive travel ball experience. This camp is designed for those players who need to develop the skills necessary to make it at the next level. We will cover all facets of the game including a brief pitching and catching session. Coach to player ratio 1:10 All campers will receive a t-shirt.

PITCHING AND CATCHING CAMP
Date: July 14-16, 2008
Ages: 8-18
Fee: $200.00
Time: 10am-12pm
Campers will be put in two groups and then broken-up into smaller more individual groups. The beginners will cover the basics of pitching mechanics and the fastball and change. The more advanced group will progress to the more complex pitches.

Catchers All catchers need to bring their own equipment, limited quantities are available at the clinic. The catchers clinic will review proper stance, footwork behind the plate, steals, pick-offs and much more.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • All participants will be broken up by ages and a counselor-camper ratio of 1:10 will always be kept
  • All Camps are held at the Boyd and Jill Smith Family Stadium
  • Camps are run by Stanford Softball players/coaches and local collegiate players and coaches
  • One free T-shirt will be distributed to each camp participant
  • Stanford softball merchandise will be sold at all camps
  • Due to NCAA restrictions, institutional staff members or representatives of its athletics interests shall not employ or give free or reduced admission privileges to high school, preparatory school, or two-year college athletics award winner.

ITEMS NEED TO BRING

  • Suitable softball attire
  • Glove
  • Rubber cleats and athletic shoes
  • Bat (for Hitting clinic only)
  • Batting Helmet
  • Catcher's gear (for catching clinic only)
  • Hat or visor
  • Sunscreen

REFUND POLICY:
Written request for a cancellation must be received no less than 7 days prior to the first day of the clinic to qualify for a refund. All requests must be sent to Trisha Ford at tdean@stanford.edu. Requests for cancellations received prior to 7 days before the first day fo clinic are assessed a fee of $50 per person, per clinic. No refunds are issued for requests received later than 7 days before the start of the clinic. $100 non-refundable processing fee for all cancelled Camps

FACILITIES AND PARKING:
All Clinics are held at the Boyd and Jill Smith Family Stadium. From 101 exit Emabarcadero and go West. You will be on Embarcadero for approx. 2 miles and it will take you directly into campus. Once you enter campus Embarcadero turns into Galvez. Take your first left which is Nelson and follow that back around to the main parking lot. You will want to park where the soccer stadium and the baseball stadium meet. There is a walkway between both fields that will take you directly to our stadium.

EMERGENCY & MEDICAL INFORMATION
Medical Information/Illness: In the event that your camper becomes ill or an emergency arises, the staff will make every effort to contact you or your listed emergency contact. If deemed necessary by the staff, the camper may be transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Family Emergency Contact Information: If you need to contact your child at the clinic, please use the Emergency Contact number 650-723-8726 and leave a message.

PARKING:
ATTENTION PARENTS:

Parking on the Stanford University Campus is enforced Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00am and 4:00pm. Parking in all lots requires a Stanford University issued parking permit. Parking without a permit, in red zones, on landscaping or in other areas not designated for parking will result in a citation being issued to your vehicle.
